Mr. Williamson, a seasoned trial lawyer with an impressive record of getting great results in all types of civil cases with extensive experience, in both government and private practice, trying, litigating and negotiating cases from both sides of the aisle.  He is committed to improving access to special education for children and young adults with learning disabilities, attention disorders, and other special needs requiring disability accommodations or enhanced educational services.  He currently serves on the board of Project Eye-to-Eye, a national mentoring program for children and young adults with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders.

While a government trial lawyer, Mr. Williamson taught a Continuing Legal Education course about how state and federal medical privacy laws arise in litigation and at trial.  Presently, he is developing a CLE on trial practice for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where he serves as CLE chair of the Tort Litigation Committee.  Steve is also a member of COPAA and New York branch of IDEA, The New York State Trial Lawyers Association, The Brooklyn Bar Association, Nathan R. Sobel Kings County Inn of Court, The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and The Jewish Lawyers Guild.  He is admitted to practice law in the courts of the State of New York and in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.   A former democratic political operative and veteran of local campaigns, Mr. Williamson continues to be politically active in his community.  He is now working with a group of Brooklyn residents to build a conservancy for the Cadman Plaza Park in downtown Brooklyn.  He is a lifelong resident of Brooklyn and a graduate of Hobart College and New York Law School.
