Rhoda Geller, senior educational advocate and paralegal, works with our families on educational planning and transitioning.Rhoda has been an Educational Advocate since 2001 and has participated in hundreds of CSE Reviews. Rhoda brings to the table a perspective that is most helpful for the Special Education process. What differentiates Rhoda is her unique background that combines educational and coaching experience. Her expertise in the CSE process is invaluable in providing our clients with the support they need and in collaborating with our attorneys should input be needed for subsequent Impartial Hearings.
For the past 20 years Rhoda has worked with parents, students and professionals in the education field. She has provided one-on-one support to students in need of academic and specific course assistance as well as coaching to families to encourage motivate and challenge students. Rhoda has championed many special education students during Committee on Special Education (CSE) Reviews. Through her years as a tutor of General Education and Special Education students, she has acquired an excellent understanding of the academic and social needs of students. As a College Coach, she has guided Junior and Senior High School students along paths to post-secondary success. Rhoda is a graduate of Brooklyn College (BS in Mathematics). She received her certification as a Math teacher from New York City and holds a Masters Degree in Mathematics and Education from the College of Staten Island.
Rhoda is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and The Elija Foundation and has her own advocacy firm in New Jersey.
